Description

Industrial Service Group is seeking a self-motivated and results driven Inside Sales Specialist to join our team! This is an in-office role at our Indianapolis HQ (9355 Delegates Row, Indianapolis, IN 46240) as part of our centralized inside sales and customer service organization, reporting to the Manager, Inside Sales.


The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for best-in-class customer service, e-commerce order management, and outbound selling via phone and email to new and existing customers. Inside Sales Specialist may be assigned specific tasks or special projects as needed for the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries, with professionalism and urgency, via phone, email, and chat
  • Execute daily outbound calls to grow revenue and expand customer relationships
  • Build and maintain key account relationships
  • Assist customers in determining product needs and resolve all customer issues related to orders, delivery, billing or product questions
  • Prepare quotes, confirm pricing and availability, and follow up to close orders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
  • Enter, manage, and track customer orders accurately within the ERP system
  • Meet or exceed individual performance metrics including, activity levels, revenue targets, and customer retention goals


Requirements

Required:

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial distribution, industrial manufacturing, or a related inside sales/customer service role
  • Experience handling inbound customer service in a distribution environment (phone, email, website)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems for order entry and quoting
  • Comfort with outbound phone and email sales activity
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in-office in Indianapolis, IN


Preferred:

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and eCommerce platforms
  • Prior experience supporting both service and product sales
  • Working knowledge of compressor equipment and parts
