RISING GIANT IN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY SEEKS STRATEGIC ACCOUNT MANAGER

We’re a successful fast-growing company based in Louisville, Kentucky. We’re growing rapidly, undergoing a national expansion. In the past five years, we’ve grown from 60 employees to over 400. We’ve averaged 50% revenue growth each year over the past 8 years. We’re looking for an experienced Strategic Account Manager to help play an important part in our growth.

Purpose
This role will be mostly around NEW business development. The new hire will focus the majority of their time on seeking and developing new accounts.
Summary
The Strategic Account Manager will seek and develop key relationships with strategically important large customers. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives. The Strategic Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company. The goal of any company is to satisfy the expectations of strategically important customers, and the strategic account manager serves as the link between the firm and the customers towards achieving that goal.
Duties Critical to Success
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Develop and build a new account portfolio
  • Achieve assigned strategic account objectives
  • Establish strong, long-term client relationships
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis and respond to specific inquiries.
  • Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs
  • Handle complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams
  • Identify and approach new potential strategic customers.
  • Align with Senior Leadership internally to determine an effective strategy on how the company wants to increase growth, customers, and revenue.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Critical to Success
  • Along with the duties critical to success, the ideal SAM should have a high level of interpersonal relationship and good communication skills, both in written and verbal.
  • Ability to meet assigned targets within a stipulated time period.

Job specifications, standards, and requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of strategic sales experience
  • Solid sales experience in business to business environment
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and Account management systems
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • An ability to address customer requests in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Desire to perform in flexible working environment
  • Availability to travel as needed
Compensation: The base salary range is between $60,000-$70,000.
