Sales Development Specialist

SEW-EURODRIVE USA is seeking a high-performing sales professional who is motivated to succeed and driven by results. The Opportunity We are hiring a Sales Development Specialist to join our Midwest / West Sales Teams. Our Sales Development Specialist is primarily a training role to develop into a District Sales or other Sales role.

In this role, you will:

  • Complete cross-functional training in Production, Customer Service, Engineering, and Service to develop comprehensive product and application knowledge.
  • Support District Sales and Customer Service teams with quoting, project management, CRM management, and customer account support.
  • Conduct customer visits, sales calls, plant surveys, and joint calls with distributors and SEW-EURODRIVE personnel to identify application needs and drive sales growth.
  • Provide technical, promotional, training, and sales support to OEMs, distributors, resellers, and end users.
  • Develop and deliver customer training events, product demonstrations, trade shows, and seminars.
  • Build expertise in SEW-EURODRIVE products, applications, and target industries to recommend and size solutions that best meet customer requirements.
  • Assist with distributor development and support in accordance with company policies to improve sales performance and service coverage.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and industry activity, providing reports and recommendations to support business growth strategies.
  • Maintain accurate customer engagement records and sales activity through CRM tools.
  • Travel as required for customer visits, training, trade shows, and sales meetings, including occasional work outside standard business hours.
  • Continuously expand technical and product knowledge through formal and self-directed training while contributing to revenue growth across all SEW-EURODRIVE product lines.

Starting Pay Range

$45,000-$65,000 Annual Salary

Compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Candidates with additional relevant degrees or certifications and extensive experience may be considered for the higher end of the salary range.

Job Qualifications

  • Must be willing to relocate upon completion of training and availability of open positions for promotion.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and driving record satisfactory to SEW-EURODRIVE or otherwise be able to transport yourself to and from various locations, including customer facilities, to engage in diverse business activities.
  • Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing indefinite basis.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have strong mathematical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to travel and frequently visit customers.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and lift frequently and for extended periods.

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
