Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Transportation Project Management Senior Manager for immediate employment in either the Kenova, WV or Morgantown, WV office.  Imagine working on rewarding projects with access to AECOM's exceptional training and career development opportunities. In this role, the Project Management Senior Manager will be expected to drive impactful change, lead as a role model for others and remain client focused and decisive.  A seller and doer motivated to leverage AECOM’s capabilities to maximize our impact within the West Virginia market.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  •  Lead engineering teams consisting of entry to mid-level engineers and technicians in development of roadway and bridge design plans for transportation projects with WVDOH and local agencies

  • Perform business development and marketing activities in order to generate future business

  •  Project scoping and budget development, including complex and high-profile roadway design projects

  • Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public

  • Manage innovative transportation projects including financial, schedule, and design task management to deliver high quality plans

  • Project financials, invoicing, and cash collections

  • Assist with development of marketing strategies for targeted projects and clients within West Virginia

  • As part of this role, you will attend our AECOM Project Management Certification Program.  We expect successful completion within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering plus 10 years of experience working on transportation projects or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

  • 2 years of demonstrated leadership

  • West Virginia PE license (or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months)

  • Demonstrated scoping/estimating complex roadway/bridge projects

  • Demonstrated experience tracking and managing project budgets and schedules

  • Experience developing and mentoring junior staff

  • Valid US driver's license, and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review to travel to work sites and client sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • WV Department of Highways (DOH) Experience

  • MicroStation and InRoads experience with an emphasis in traffic, transportation engineering, water resources, structures or other related field required

  • Leadership skills to develop engineers and project managers

  • Must be able to thrive in a team environment

  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

  • Degree from an ABET accredited school

  • Master’s Degree

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
