Who are we hiring?ย ย ย 

The Director, Internal Communications plays a pivotal role in shapingย the employeeย experience by leading the execution of strategic communications and enterprise-wide initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Internal Communications, this role translates business priorities into clear, compelling messaging that informs, engages, and connects employees.ย 

This leader partners closely with senior executives, HR, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure employees are equipped with the information they need to succeed. The Director oversees enterprise messaging, change communications, and functional communications, while also supporting employee programs and culture initiatives. Additionally, the roleย is responsible forย optimizingย internal communication channels to ensure messaging is delivered effectively, consistently, and with impact.ย 

What will you do?ย ย ย 

  • Partner with VP to implement enterprise internal communications strategy.ย 
  • Develop and execute communications plans supporting business priorities, organizationalย initiativesย and employee programsย across the MSG Family of Companies.ย ย 
  • Support the development of communications for senior leaders, including executive announcements and organizational updates.ย ย 
  • Develop communications for engagement programs, recognition initiatives,ย milestonesย and company events.ย 
  • Oversee day-to-day management of internal communication channels includingย email, intranet, print and digital signage, etc., ensuring consistency of messaging acrossย platforms;ย includes partnering with external vendors.ย ย 
  • Track communications effectiveness and provide insights and recommendations to strengthen communication impact.ย ย 
  • Stay abreast of the latest internal communications channels and feedback loops andย introduceย new opportunities to reach employees.ย 
  • Manage and supportย theย development of aย smallย team.ย 
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?ย 

  • 8+ years of experience in internal, employee, HR, or corporate communications, or a related field ย 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceย ย 
  • Exceptional writing and strategic messaging skills, including effective use of timing and communication channelsย 
  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and handle sensitive matters with sound judgment and discretionย ย 
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills, withย demonstratedย ownership and initiativeย 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines, andย maintainย strong attention to detailย ย 
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and drive alignment across all levelsย ย 
  • Curious, adaptable self-starter whoย leveragesย AI and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and elevate the employee experienceย 

Special Requirements:ย 

  • Must have flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as business requires.ย 
  • Mustย be willing to travelย to venues andย other locationsย as business requires.ย
