AAADM Certified Automatic Door Technician

Position Overview

Flylock Security Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Automatic Door Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of automatic door systems and related hardware in commercial environments.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work while maintaining strong communication with customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair automatic door systems (sliding, swinging, and revolving doors)
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
  • Install and troubleshoot door hardware, electrified locks, and access control components
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with AAADM standards
  • Ensure all work meets safety codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards
  • Document work performed, including notes, photos, and job completion details
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of work performed and recommendations
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory
  • Coordinate with office staff on scheduling, materials, and job updates
Qualifications

  • 3+ years installing and servicing ADA automatic swing doors or sliders required.
  • 2+ years of experience with automatic doors, door hardware, or access control systems preferred
  • Experience with brands such as Record, Stanley, Horton, or Besam is a plus
  • Experience with aluminum storefront doors and hollow metal doors
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge (low voltage)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and wiring diagrams
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be able to pass a background check
