Supply Chain Planner Shawnee, KS | Fully Onsite Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire| $28-33ph. LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a manufacturing company who is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Planner to join Supply Chain & Logistics team and play a critical role in optimizing inventory, production planning, and supply chain performance. The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for coordinating demand forecasts, inventory management, production schedules, and supplier communication to ensure materials and finished goods are available to meet customer requirements. This role works cross-functionally with procurement, production, warehouse, customer service, and sales teams to support operational efficiency and business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain production and inventory plans based on customer demand forecasts and business requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to minimize shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
  • Analyze demand trends, sales forecasts, and historical data to support supply chain planning decisions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to create and adjust production schedules based on priorities and capacity constraints.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, service levels, forecasting, and supply chain performance.
  • Identify supply chain risks and proactively develop contingency plans.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities and cross-functional planning meetings.
  • Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, demand planning, inventory management, or related manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of forecasting methodologies and inventory management principles.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools.
