Job description

Machinery Mechanic
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Machinery Mechanic for a company based in Decatur, AL. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for performing an array of duties.

Pay Rate 
$19.00 or more per hour based on experience

Schedule and Hours 
1st shift Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 3 30 pm.
2nd shift Monday through Friday, 3 00 pm to 11 30 pm.
3rd shift Sunday through Thursday, 11 00 pm to 7 30 am.

Machinery Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble component parts, either sub-assemblies or completed units. This will include electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, structural, and plastic parts.
  • Use hand tools, small power tools, and other special equipment to tear down and rebuild various machinery for shipment.
  • Work in hot or cold temperatures.
  • Closely follow safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and securing loads properly.
Machinery Mechanic Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Background check, drug screen, and clean driving records are required.
  • Must be able to stand 8, 10, or 12 hours.
  • Physical strength and stamina lift and move heavy loads safely and efficiently.
  • Proficient in use of various hand tools.
  • Must wear arm guards, hard hats, steel toes, and safety glasses.
