Job Description: 

The Senior IT Security Engineer will assist with planning and implementing security solutions for business integration. The candidate is responsible for working closely with Health Care Company acquisitions and partners to bring consistency and corporate compliance to dissimilar security operations and infrastructure. The successful applicant will be sought out as an IT Security expert who is result oriented, innovative and has experience working multiple IT projects. The applicant will be responsible for configuring and implementing leading edge technologies in a fast-paced growth focused organization. This position should be highly desirable to one with a real passion for IT security, positive attitude, and exceptional technical skills.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of equivalent experience

2+ years of experience in IT Security

2+ years of experience with Security Consulting

Typical Day (In-office):


A typical day for these candidates will include a 9AM team meeting to discuss any updates, current task status, and work delegation. Following the team meeting, will be client engagement discussions, hardware configurations/testing, and coordination discussions. Most of the day will be consumed by communications outlining the requirements for the various efforts each candidate is accountable for delivering. In addition, they will be working with vendors for product procurement, testing, and solution options for internal Optum efforts. Outside of the typical 9am-5pm working hours, the candidates will occasionally need to work during off-hours that are driven by the business (for refresh and deployment tasks).
