Job description

Overview
Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of a Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team! The Business Systems Analyst supports the organization's business and technology needs by working with customers to resolve issues and optimize their use of CPSI, eClinicalWorks, and other systems. In addition, the Business Analyst gathers requirements and defines technological solutions to take advantage of new tools. An added role is the strategic planning, design and implementation of custom reports and data analysis to support the project goals and objectives of the business systems and EMR initiatives. This position will participate in the data analytics development cycle to provide useful reports and information that supports business and clinical workflow and the analysis of financial and clinical data entered into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
This is a Full-Time position (PT available).
Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem needs with day and evening shift availability. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.
Compensation: $30-34/hour.
The posted salary range reflects compensation for candidates with limited experience. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.
Responsibilities
  • Provides customer support and training.
    • Identifies and develops solutions to business issues
    • Optimizes end customers' utilization of available tools
    • Assists with the development of training programs
    • Assists customers in the development of ad hoc reports
    • Advises customers on data structure and terminology
    • Provides on-call support and staffing of the help desk
  • Provides business application and end customer tool support for CPSI, eClinicalWorks and other systems.
    • Gathers business requirements in preparation for implementation of new solutions
    • Serves on Performance/Process Improvement teams and application Core Teams
    • Serves as a support resource for all business application issues
    • Works effectively with vendors to resolve business application issues
    • Understands the data structure of the enterprise system to facilitate query and reporting
  • Identifies and facilitates business operations improvements
    • Continually examines opportunities for standardization and consolidation of operations for efficiency of service
    • Performs project planning and execution for IT initiatives
    • Analyzes costs and benefits of specific IT initiatives
  • Assists in daily operations of Information Technology services
    • Serves as back up for the IT Business Systems [Coordinator/ Supervisor/ Manager]
    • Performs other related duties as requested by IT leaders

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelors degree in IT, business or related field; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Desired Experience:
  • Implementation and support of enterprise systems, working with a non-technical user community, working on teams consisting of non-technical employees and vendor personnel, process mapping and the application of continuous quality improvement principles.
  • Three to five years of IT experience in the healthcare industry.

Desired Skills:
  • Understanding of accounting and healthcare revenue cycle concepts
  • Experience working with Microsoft Access and Excel preferred
  • Data mining within Access databases
  • Proficient in business process analysis and graphically depiction of flow
