Insurance Account Specialist
The Lewis Financial Group is a trusted name in insurance, providing personalized service and reliable coverage to individuals, families, and businesses across the region. We are seeking a licensed, dependable, and client-focused insurance professional to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Licensed Insurance Customer Service & Sales Agent will support both current and prospective clients through excellent customer service, account management, retention efforts, and cross-selling opportunities. This position serves as a liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and agency staff while supporting daily agency operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, professional, and motivated to grow within the insurance industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and policy support
- Assist with account retention and support agency sales goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within agency systems
- Communicate with insurance carriers regarding policy questions, changes, and claims assistance
- Support licensed agents with day-to-day agency operations
- Learn and follow all insurance compliance procedures and underwriting guidelines
- Utilize Microsoft Office and agency management systems for communication, reporting, and client documentation
- Handle incoming calls and maintain professional client communication
Requirements
- Willingness to obtain Property & Casualty Insurance License within 90 days
- Willingness to obtain Life Insurance License within 180 days
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional phone etiquette and follow-up skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in insurance, customer service, sales, or marketing
- Familiarity with agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
