Job description

Industrial Production Manager Job Duties:
  • Manages the materials procurement, purchasing, and production planning.
  • Ensures that production stays on schedule and within budget.
  • Bases on inputs from MRP (customer orders, forecast and buffer stock), creates, monitors and tracks production plans and schedules and shop orders.
  • Researches material shortages and coordinates with purchasing organization to ensure material supply chain supports production plan.
  • Monitors actual production at contract manufacturer to ensure that schedules are being executed timely and effectively.
  • Streamline the production process.
  • Analyze assembly and production data.
  • Write production reports.
  • Create ways to make the production process more efficient.
  • Fix any production and logistic problems.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate workers.
  • Monitor the workers to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
  • Determine whether new machines are needed or whether overtime work is necessary.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related fields and two (2) years experience in production management, including:
  • Production planning and management, logistics, and materials management.
  • ERP software: Systems Applications and Products (SAP)
  • Oversee each production process - negotiating and setting budgets and deadlines with clients and colleagues, organizing and improving workflow and project flow, using a project management methodology, overseeing quality control and improving industrial process efficiency.
  • Develop training programs for workers and collaborate with them to achieve production milestones.
  • Budget controls - assessing the resources needed, estimating costs, finding ways to minimize expenses and collaborating with senior management and clients to develop a budget.
  • Experience in complex supply chain and evaluate problems/information.
  • Analyze customers forecast, company's inventory to manage order fulfillment and enhance overall supply chain management capability.
  • Responsible for inventory management reports, inventory reconciliation, root cause analysis, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
