Our brewery and tasting room are in Golden, Colorado, and our beers are distributed throughout Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, including Kansas City Metro, California, Wyoming, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Minnesota and Utah with regional and national growth in our future.
We are growing, expanding distribution, and adding another hybrid brewer, cellar and packaging tech to our Production team at our Production Brewery in Golden, Colorado in order to meet our increased demand.
Position Summary: The right candidate will join our current production staff and brew, cellar, and package. They will also help with building and loading shipments of beer, receiving shipments in, and maintaining inventory levels. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations and Safety.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Operations:
  • Cleans. Cleans tanks (CIP and outsides), sweeps and scrubs and mops, tidies work area, organizes and maintains work environment.
  • Performs packaging operations: canning, kegging, and bottling
  • Works in a fast-paced brewery environment while maintaining the safety of themselves, their coworkers, and our Gluten-Free consumers.
  • Performs brewing and cellaring operations, with guidance and training, on our Mash Press production system, 10-Bbl Pub system, and 1-Bbl pilot system.
    • Wort production and management, monitoring fermentation and carbonation, dry hop, transfers, fining, etc.
  • Completes required, regular quality checks (pH, gravities with an Anton Paar gravitometer and glass hydrometers, DO and CO2 readings with an Anton Paar CBox, seam checks, fill level, etc.).
  • Maintains accurate inventory in Ekos.
  • Detailed record keeping including brew logs (paper and in Ekos), operation checklists, maintenance logs, and package records
  • Performs daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Work closely with production and facilities to troubleshoot and optimize equipment.
  • Cleans kegs using automated keg cleaner, fills kegs as needed.

Inventory Management and Orders
  • Assists with tracking the inventory of necessary ingredients and materials.
  • Works with Management to maximize quality and yields, while minimizing product loss and package dissolved oxygen levels.
  • Helps as needed on Cask canning line.
  • Stacks and wraps pallets, builds orders for shipment (along with rest of production team).
  • Loads shipments for delivery (along with rest of production team).

Other Responsibilities Include:
  • Operates a forklift and scissor lift as needed in a safe manner.
  • Follow SOP's and develop novel SOP's where they are necessary.
  • Handle dangerous chemicals according to safe practice, SDS, and SOP's.
  • Maintain safe and effective operation of all equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • GED or High school equivalent.
  • An ideal candidate will have 2+ years brewing / cellaring experience in a production setting.
  • Gluten-free production experience a major plus.
  • Equipment maintenance / minor repair experience a major plus.
  • A certificate / degree in brewing, or equivalent knowledge through experience a plus.
  • Forklift and scissor lift experience a plus (will be certified by Holidaily).
  • Packaging line operations, especially with Cask line a major plus.

Physical Standards:
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Able to regularly lift/carry 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with sometimes slippery floors.
  • Able to twist, bend, kneel, and work in a wet production environment.
  • Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures that is typical for a brewery.
  • The floor surface may vary.
  • Ability to tolerate a high-level work pace that is typical for the beverage production industry.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Job Type:
This position requires working full-time, 40 hours per week, in four 10-hour shifts that may include Saturdays and Sundays.
Compensation:
This is an hourly position with a starting range of $18 to $20/hr.
