Job description

Overview
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment at the Foot Locker Distribution Center in Reno. This role supports safety, asset protection, and operational continuity through access control, patrol, monitoring, documentation, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Security Officers are expected to operate professionally, follow post orders and SOPs, and collaborate with business partners to support daily distribution center operations.
Available full time shift: Friday - Monday 1 pm - 11 pm

Responsibilities
  • Enforce security policies, procedures, and post orders
  • Maintain control of facility access points
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and Genetec access system
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols and inspections
  • Identify and report safety hazards, security risks, and policy violations
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation including shift logs, incident reports, and pass-downs
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations
  • Participate in required training, coaching, and performance reviews

Qualifications
  • Experience in a distribution center or industrial work environment
  • Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, and/or alarm monitoring
  • Experience writing reports or documenting incidents
  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making skills
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods and patrol both interior and exterior areas
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds as required
  • Professionalism and the ability to interact respectfully with all levels of the business, including team members, vendors, and visitors
