We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead field operations on a ground-up multifamily project in the San Diego area.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to run a clean, organized, fast-moving project while maintaining quality, safety, and schedule accountability. We are looking for someone who can lead subcontractors, solve problems before they become disasters, and keep momentum every single day.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations from sitework through project completion
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, inspections, and deliveries
• Maintain project schedule and drive production milestones
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
• Conduct daily site walks and quality control inspections
• Coordinate with Superintendent, ownership, consultants, and city inspectors
• Review plans, identify conflicts, and proactively resolve issues
• Manage manpower flow and sequencing between trades
• Maintain clean and organized jobsite documentation
• Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
• Ensure work is completed per plans, specs, and code requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Project Manager on ground-up multifamily or commercial projects
• Experience with podium construction strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications
• Strong scheduling and coordination skills
• Knowledge of California building codes and OSHA requirements
• Experience with Procore preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to maintain schedule pressure without losing control of quality or safety

• Multifamily podium projects
• Wood framing over concrete podium
• Underground utilities and site coordination
• Exterior waterproofing and building envelope sequencing
• Final inspection and turnover management
