Position Title: Residential: Residential Housekeeper

Position Shifts:

  • Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30p with weekend and holiday rotation
  • Full-Time: Sunday - Thursday 7am-3pm with holiday rotation

Overview: The residential housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of resident apartments and other assigned areas of the facility. Responsible for performing various housekeeping tasks to include vacuuming, trash removal, dusting, cleaning restrooms, etc. Reports to Environmental Services Manager and Supervisor.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Regular attendance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Requires cleaning and dusting of various surfaces (counter tops, furniture, appliances, tile floors, etc)
  • Clean, scrub, and sanitize bathrooms
  • Gather and dispose of trash using specified bags and / or containers
  • Responsible for keeping storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and organized
  • Vacuuming of carpeting in apartments and assigned common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and resident laundry areas
  • Changes resident bed and bath linens according to assigned cleaning schedule
  • Assist in the main laundry room and other areas of the facility when needed
  • Deliver resident’s personal laundry as assigned
  • All housekeepers MUST greet resident(s) and announce their presence prior to entering room
  • Maintain clean and professional appearance
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Attend departmental education and all required in-service training/education
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and facility information
  • Respond to all fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of residents when needed
  • Cooperate with staff of other departments when needed
  • Represent the organization through professional demeanor and attitude
  • Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff
  • Report Housekeeping and Maintenance issue for work order
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred, may be working towards high school diploma or equivalent
  • Two-years cleaning / housekeeping experience preferred
