About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing payroll company. This is a fast-paced and challenging environment, ideal for individuals who thrive under pressure and enjoy problem-solving. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of payroll processes, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a payroll specialist with a strong focus on payroll processing accuracy and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing State and Federal Quarterly Business Tax Returns, payroll tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive experience in multi-state payroll processing, wage and hour laws, and payroll software systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively handle payroll inquiries and support clients.
  • Experience working with automated payroll systems, processing wages, salaries, deductions, taxes, and other withholdings with precision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while ensuring payroll accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel and troubleshooting payroll-related issues.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and a pleasant personality for client interactions.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Accurate, team-oriented, and efficient with detailed data entry skills.
  • Thorough accounting and bookkeeping skills are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up client accounts and new employee profiles with precision and compliance.
  • Process client payrolls efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with tax laws and company policies.
  • Prepare and process client Quarterly Tax Returns, as well as W2s and 1099s, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide expert support to clients on payroll-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
